This statement sets out the steps that Janith Homes Ltd has taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our business.
Janith Homes Ltd operates as a care home provider, delivering residential care and support services. Our activities include the direct employment of support workers, domestic staff, administrative, and management staff. We have a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking.
We are committed to acting ethically, responsibly, and transparently in all aspects of our operations and business relationships.
Our commitment is supported through our employment policies, safeguarding procedures, and whistleblowing policy, which enables concerns to be raised confidentially and without fear of retaliation. To reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking, Janith Homes Ltd undertakes due diligence when engaging suppliers, contractors, and staffing agencies.
We recognise that risks of modern slavery may arise within the care sector, particularly in relation to the use of agency staff and outsourced services. Janith Homes Ltd actively identifies and assesses potential risk areas within our business. Steps are taken to manage these risks include right-to-work checks, fair pay audits, and clear reporting mechanisms for staff and stakeholders to raise concerns.
Janith Homes Ltd reviews the effectiveness of its actions through ongoing monitoring, internal audits, and management review. Regular checks are carried out to ensure that all employees are paid at least the National Minimum Wage and have the legal right to work in the UK. Any concerns identified are investigated promptly, and appropriate action is taken to address issues and prevent recurrence.
In addition to producing this annual statement, Janith Homes Ltd is committed to:
- Addressing slavery and human trafficking as part of our social responsibility approach.
