The Gym and Café
The Gym is a versatile space that is used daily for a variety of indoor activities and social events such as:
- Keep fit
- Table tennis
- Film screenings
- Bingo
- Special parties
- Discos
- Music sessions with a local guitarist
- Entertainment
This communal space is the main meeting point at the start of the day and becomes a dining room at lunchtime. The walls are decorated with artworks made in the art centre by service users, making it a very colorful and welcoming environment.
There is a state-of-the art, surround sound cinema installation, which incorporates a CD, DVD and video player, and offers service users the facility to bring in their own Playstation or games consoles to play on large retractable screen.
We also have a separate room with a pool table for break time games. This room also has individual lockers for personal items and a toilet.
The café is open at break times. A social area provides comfortable seating and is a great place to meet friends and catch up on all the news.
